MFC U11/U12 Girls First Place Champions
MFC Warriors - Girls U11/U12 - NHSA Tournament June 15, 2024
On Saturday, June 15, 2024 MFC had the opportunity to enter our U11/U12 girls in the New Holstein Soccer Association (NHSA) tournament at Kiwanis Park, New Holstein. The day was filled with excitement and eagerness as the team consisted of a majority of 5th graders with a few 4th grade special guests. Team led by Head Coach, Damian Rahmlow, also an MFC Board Director and accompanied by Assistant Coach, Jeremy DeSwarte.
The girls have only been working together for a handful of practices so the outcome was essentially a complete question mark.
Game one - the clock ended in a 2-2 tie, resulting in a dramatic shootout. MFC came out on top by 1 goal.
Game two - the girls had so much energy from the last game win that they executed a 4-1 win.
Game three - as the girls grew tired from the heat and hard work, they struggled to maintain possession yet were able to hold the score board at 1-1 till the clock stopped. Another shootout underway as they again came out on top to win first place in their division.
